Warehouse in Depth
Batch numbers for lots, pick lists and packing slips, delivery trips, product bundles, repacking and break bulk, putaway rules and stock ageing.
Lessons
- 01
This lesson shows how to keep a flooring dye lot together with batch numbers: turn batches on for an item, receive stock with a batch, see stock by batch, and pick and deliver by batch.
- 02
A pick list tells your pickers what to take and from which warehouse. A packing slip describes the boxes. The delivery note records what leaves. Screens are example data from a demo company that sells flooring.
- 03
This lesson shows how a delivery trip groups delivery notes onto one driver and one vehicle: the driver record, the vehicle record, building stops from delivery notes, and checking the stops and departure time.
- 04
This lesson shows how to sell several items as one kit: make a non-stock kit item, build the product bundle, add the kit to a sales document, and see how stock is counted on the parts.
- 05
This lesson shows how a repack stock entry turns bulk stock into cartons, and how to see its effect in the Stock Ledger.
- 06
Putaway rules and stock ageing
This lesson shows how a putaway rule decides where received goods go, and how the Stock Ageing report shows slow stock in age buckets.
