Parsimony runs a managed Cloud ERP built on ERPNext, and we do not gate ERPNext knowledge behind a sales call. The Parsimony Training Center, at training.parsimony.com, is a free course catalog: create an account, enroll, and start a lesson the same afternoon.

As of this writing the catalog holds 18 published courses and 220 lessons. Every published course is free, and every one includes a certificate on completion. None of that requires a Parsimony contract — the courses exist because a team that understands ERPNext gets more out of it, whether or not Parsimony hosts the instance.

Who the courses are for

The catalog serves three overlapping groups. New ERPNext users need a structured path through the modules they touch first: the chart of accounts, the item master, a sales order. Existing users who inherited a partly configured system use the module-by-module courses to fill in what nobody trained them on. And operators still evaluating ERPNext can watch the actual screens work before they take a sales deck's word for it.

No course assumes you already know Frappe or ERPNext. Each one opens with the module's core concepts, then moves into the settings, records, and workflow that make the module run.

What's in the catalog

The catalog is not static — courses are added and updated over time, so the list you see when you enroll may differ slightly from this one.

A suggested learning path

The Training Center does not sequence its courses for you, so here is an order that follows how a business actually turns ERPNext on: accounting, inventory, selling, buying, manufacturing, then reporting.

  1. Accounting. Start with Accounting 101, then Basic Accounting for banking, journal entries, and financial statements. Nothing else in ERPNext means much until the chart of accounts is right.
  2. Inventory. Stock Management covers warehouses and inventory levels — the layer every sales order and purchase order draws from.
  3. Selling. Selling Mastery, CRM 101, and Campaign Management take you from a sales order through the pipeline and into follow-up.
  4. Buying. Buying Mastery, Supplier Management, and Procurement Management cover purchasing: supplier scorecards, settings, and item pricing.
  5. Manufacturing. Manufacturing Mastery and Assets Mastery cover bills of materials, production, and the equipment production runs on.
  6. Reports. The catalog does not have a course titled Reports. Quality Management (quality goals, reviews, continuous improvement) and Project Management (task tracking) are the two courses closest to a reporting discipline, and they round out the path once accounting, inventory, selling, buying, and manufacturing are covered.

Payroll Management and HR Leave Management sit outside this six-step path but matter as soon as you run people through ERPNext. AI-Powered Automation and AI Agent Transformation cover the newer chat-widget and workflow-AI features. Steve Simonson Axioms to Live By is a leadership course, not a module course, and stands on its own.

How to enroll

Enroll at training.parsimony.com/lms/courses. Create a free account, pick a course from the list above, and start the first lesson. There is no waitlist and no sales call between you and lesson one.

The Training Center now runs at that one address. If you remember an older Parsimony training page that said the center was unavailable, that has changed — the catalog above is live and open for enrollment today.

How training relates to a managed Cloud ERP engagement

The Training Center and a Parsimony Cloud ERP engagement are two different things that reinforce each other. A managed Cloud ERP engagement covers implementation: migrating your data, configuring your instance on Frappe Cloud, and training your specific team on your specific setup. The Training Center is generic — the same Accounting 101 course whether or not you are a Parsimony client — and it is not a substitute for onboarding on a live company.

In practice the two connect. Teams that work through the accounting and inventory courses before an implementation kickoff show up to onboarding already fluent in the terminology, which shortens the configuration conversation. Teams that go live on Cloud ERP or move their hosting through ERPNext hosting keep using the free catalog afterward to bring new hires up to speed without booking paid time for it. If your team needs training built around your actual configuration rather than the generic course — your chart of accounts, your item master, your approval workflow — that is a services conversation. Implementation services covers custom training scope, and you can also contact us directly.

Frequently asked questions

Is ERPNext training free?

Yes. All 18 published courses in the Parsimony Training Center are free, and every one includes a certificate on completion.

Do I need to be a Parsimony customer to enroll?

No. The Training Center is open to anyone with a free account at training.parsimony.com/lms/courses, whether or not Parsimony hosts your ERPNext instance.

Which ERPNext version do the courses cover?

The catalog spans two release lines — some courses are tagged for ERPNext V14, most of the newer ones for V15. Check a course's tags on the Training Center page before you start if your instance is pinned to a specific version.

How long does each course take?

Course length is measured in lessons, not hours, and ranges from 7 lessons (Project Management, Campaign Management) up to 25 (Selling Mastery). At a lesson or two a day, most courses finish in one to three weeks.

Can my whole team get certificates?

Yes. Certification is enabled on every published course, and each person who completes it earns their own. A certificate is proof of the training, not a login gate — you do not need one to keep using ERPNext day to day.
